1. Tour Itinerary
On arrival in Shanghai airport, you will be
met by our tour guide and transferred to your
hotel with a private car and driver. Free
for the remaining of the day. You could have
a rest or take a walk near the hotel.
Tour to Jade Buddha
Temple, Yuyuan Garden and the nearby Yuyuan
Market which is known locally as the City
God Temple. Have lunch, then visit Former
French Concession, Shikumen area, Xintiandi,
and have a stroll over the Bund.
Buddha Temple: Founded in 1882, the Jade
Buddha Temple is a popular tourist destination
for its two magnificent 1.9-meter-high white
jade Buddhas brought from Burma. It is now
an active monastery of Zen Buddhism, with
70 resident monks living and working there.
Yuan Garden: The
most famous garden in Shanghai, located not
far from the Bund. The garden was finished
in 1577; construction of the garden took 20
years. Yuyuan Garden is built in traditional
Chinese style with many beautiful rock formations,
trees, ponds, and pavilions. Doorways and
zigzagging bridges separating the garden into
French Concession: As
a foreign concession in Shanghai, the Former
French Concession neighborhood is very beautiful
- the buildings, the trees. The French Concession
was established on 6 April 1849, when the
French Consul to Shanghai, and it ends in
1943 when the Vichy French government signed
it over to the pro-Japanese puppet government
Bund: With a length
of 1 km, the bund is dotted with various grandiose
solid buildings of western style dating back
to the early this century in its west. Due
to these imposing buildings, the bund is also
reputed as "an international exhibition
Shanghai - Kunming (Breakfast
Transfer to the airport
for flight to Kunming. Tour to the Qiongzhu
Temple. Explore the Flower and Bird Market.
It is located on the Yu'an Mountain to the
northwest of Kunming amid wooded peaks, flowing
streams, clouds and mist. What make this temple
famous is the colorful clay sculptures of
the 500 Buddhist arhats. They were created
in the Qing Dynasty, during Emperor Guangxu's

A quintessential karst landscape located 86
km southeast of Kunming. As you wander though
the Stone Forest, you will be surrounded by

Take flight to Dali.
The local guide will meet you at the Dali
airport. Visit the Erhai Lake and the Three
Pagodas. After the tour, the local guide will
accompany you to check in the hotel.
It measures 40 kilometers north to south,
and 7 to 8 kilometers east to west on average.
The vast blue lake is filled with crystal-clear
waters and dotted with numerous white sails.
When the wind rises, waves are whipped up
breaking upon the shores. At night, the silvery
moon sparkles on the rippling lake.
Facing Erhai Lake, this Three Pagodas has
a history of over 1,800 years. Now it is regarded
as a symbol of the history of Dali City. It

About 3 hours lated you will arrive at the
picturesque Lijiang. Upon arrival, enjoy you
lunch and then transfer to check in the hotel.
Then have a short rest. In late afternoon,
visit the Lijiang Ancient City.
Lijiang Ancient City: The
ancient city of Lijiang is located at the
foot of the snow-capped Yulong Mountains.
The ancient city is formed of three separate
ancient towns, namely, Baisha, Shuhe, and
Dayan. It is called the "soul of Lijiang"
After breakfast, local
guide will accompany you to visit the Jade
Dragon Snow Mountain. Then visit murals in
Dragon Snow Mountain: The southernmost modem marine glaciers in the temperate zone of the northern hemisphere. There are all together 13 peaks along the range of the mountains which stretch for over35 kilometers from south to north. The summit, Shanzidou, is 5,596 meters above sea level.
Murals in Baisha Village: Some
16 kilometers north of Lijiang City locates
the Baisha Village. Many buildings there were
built in Ming and Qing Dynasties, with a history
of more than 300 years. That period was a
era of ecomomic development in Lijiang. Many
people from other places came to Lijiang,
which resulted the multinational culture.
Many murals were painted in some houses in
Baisha Village. Nowadays they have been well
preserved as cultural relics.
Lijiang - Beijing (Breakfast

for flight to Beijing. Tour to the Temple

The site where the emperors of Ming (1368-1644)
and Qing (1644-1911) dynasties used for worshiping
the God of Heaven. Construction of the Temple
of Heaven began in 1406 and it took 14 years
to complete. The main building - the Circular
Altar, which has three layered terraces with
white marble, is the place where the emperors
China's national opera and it is also China's
traditional art. It combines music, vocal
performance, mime, dance, and acrobatics.
It arose in the late 18th century and became
fully developed and recognized by the mid-19th
century. Traditional opera is very popular
among Chinese people, especially seniors.
Nowadays, appreciting an authentic Beijing
Opera Show in famous Liyuan Theater is a must-do
when you are traveling in Beijing.

Visit Tiananmen Square,
the Forbidden City (the Imperial Palace) and
the Summer Palace. Enjoy the Beijing Roasted
Lying in the center of Beijing, the square
is rectangular in shape and measuring 40 hectares.
Tian'anmen Square is 500 meters wide from
east to west and 880 meter long from north
to south. It can accommodate up to one million
people. At the southern end of Tian'anmen
Square just behind the Monument to the Heroes
of the People, visitors will find The Chairman
Mao's Mausoleum. The historical sites and
the political importance of the area make
it a must-see for travelers to Beijing.
The imperial palace and the home of 24 Emperors
during the Ming (1368-1644) and Qing (1644-1911)
dynasties. Enclosed behind its moat and 9.9m-high
walls are 980 buildings, vast courtyards and
long corridors that occupy a total area of
720,000 square meters. The construction of
the Forbidden City took 14 years and was finished
in 1420. It was listed by UNESCO as a World
Cultural Heritage Site in 1987.
Occupying an area of 290 hectares, it is the
best-preserved and biggest imperial garden
in China. Three quarters of the garden is
made up of shallow lakes. The Summer Palace
was originally constructed as an imperial
garden in 1750, the 100-odd exquisite traditional
architecture in the garden include pavilions,
pagodas, temples, stone bridges, waterside
gazebos, covered corridors and the famous

National Stadium) at a distance.
Located approximately 45 miles from Beijing,
Mutianyu is the most well-preserved part of
the Great Wall with comparatively less tourist.
It connects Juyongguan Pass in the west to
Gubeikou Great Wall in the east. Mutianyu
Great Wall historically has served as the
northern border of Beijing. The Great Wall
was listed as a World Heritage by UNESCO in
The imperial cemetery of 13 Ming Dynasty (1368-1644)
emperors, they are located in a canyon at
the southern foot of Tianshou Mountain. Ming
Tombs form the most extensive burial complex
of any Chinese dynasty and are one of the
finest preserved pieces of 15th century Chinese
art and architecture. Among them, only the
DingLing Tomb and ChangLing Tomb are opened
to visitors. The Ming Tombs were listed as
a UNESCO World Heritage Site in August 2003.
